Zealous music for a jealous God.

Originally recorded in 2008 on an 8 track digital recorder.

Blood and Fire was a project started in 2007 in DeKalb Illinois. Originally all parts were recorded by Drew but then he invited Chicago drummer and friend David Oriente to play drums, which he did until 2010. Later on the band recruited guitarist Nick Thies from Algonquin, Il and the band auditioned a few vocalists. For various reasons, the band never found the right group at the right time and never played a live show.

These recordings were a vision for me and a deep passion. Proclaiming the mission of William and Catherine Booth and the early Salvationists, using their words at times. I tried so hard for this band to work but then found it more feasible to join another band and get on the road.

The last two tracks were the last songs I recorded for the band, which we rehearsed countless times, driving all across Chicagoland to see each other. I am ever grateful for Dave and Nick, who worked hard with no reward.
